Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is located 7 km / 4.5 miles south-west of Ibiza Town, known locally as Eivissa, and serves as the primary gateway to the island. It is easily accessible by road, with two motorway routes leading to the airport, and both local buses and taxis regularly ply the route from the airport to Ibiza Town and other resorts around the island.
Important areas close to Ibiza Airport include Can Trontoll, Coves des Formenter and Sant Jordi to the north, Playa d'en Bossa to the north-east, and Sa Caleta to the west. Directly south of Ibiza Airport lie the natural park and sandy beaches of Ses Salines, where a variety of water sports are always on offer.
The northern perimeter of the airport is edged by the PM-801 motorway, which is also known as the Carretera de Ibiza-Aeropuerto. Further north and running almost parallel is the PM-803 motorway, which joins the PM-801 at Ca'n Escandell and also further west.

The two road routes to Ibiza Airport, the PM-801 and the PM-803, rarely become congested. You should allow 20 minutes for your journey between Ibiza Town and Ibiza Airport if you are travelling by car.
